VIOLIN
With over 25 years of experience playing and performing acoustic and electric violin, Iuliia aims to pass on her passion and knowledge of violin to a new generation of budding musicians.
VOCALS
Dr. Akers teaches vocalists of all different vocal ranges and types. Students not only learn the fundamentals of their craft, but also hone their stage presence, performance and audition skills.
PIANO
Dr. Akers believes that a fundamental knowledge of piano is crucial to any budding vocalist or musician. She offers beginner piano lessons to get students comfortable with sight reading as well as playing chords and scales.
SONGWRITING
+ MUSIC COMPOSITION
Holding a Doctorate in Musical Arts from Louisiana State University, Dr. Akers has experience with writing song lyrics as well as music and song composition.

Dr. Akers is an advocate for music education. She teaches acoustic/electric violin, voice, song composition, stage presence, and beginner piano lessons privately on the North and Southshore areas. She has instructed students who have participated in various talented music programs, competitions, and auditions.
